I do a "prospect report" of each of our minor league teams, and ideally I'd like to hit up each team every month, though nothing as detailed as the first go around. People rave about things like "athleticism" when in reality, he can't play any position really well. The football scholarship to UNC really doesn't help matters. What was that football player's name that the Royals coerced out of college ball...Roscoe Parrish maybe? Regardless, that didn't work so well. And remember when the Braves took a flyer on Dennis Dixon in 2007? Yeah. Way too much risk involved in someone like Tate. Tate is a “tools” guy.
