Kelly Johnson nontendered

This sucks. Johnson could have been at least an effective bench player for the team in 2010. Now, some team is going to get an absolute bargain. I’d assume a team like the Cubs would be big in on Johnson. Maybe if the Mets can move Castillo, they’d be looking at Kelly too.
Godspeed Kelly, and good luck. We already miss you.

I don’t miss him. A guy who hits .224 in 303 at-bats doesn’t deserve a pay raise to $4 million. Braves need reliability and consistency.
